On Tuesday the Board of Supervisors will vote whether to appoint Dr. Liza Ortiz as County Health Officer. Since 2012, Dr. Ortiz has been a Primary Care Physician in Chicago. She previously completed her residency programs at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, and at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego. She is a licensed physician and surgeon by the Medical Board of California, and board certified in preventative medicine.
