T.U.D. To Seek Input On Water Supply Solutions
Sonora, CA — The T.U.D. Board will discuss a new grant designed to increase the public’s engagement in helping to find long-term water supply solutions.
The District has been selected to receive a $7,500 grant from the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy. The money will be used to help hire an independent contractor that will plan and coordinate a civic engagement project to assess the community’s opinions on water projects. It will look into questions such as, what type of additional storage is desired, and is the public willing to pay for it. The grant funding, and hiring of a consultant, will be discussed at Tuesday’s meeting.
The Board will also vote whether to schedule a closed session on February 19th to talk about the applicants that are interested in the soon to be open General Manager position.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 2pm, and you can watch live video in the multimedia section of myMotherLode.com.
