Storm Creates Hazards
Sonora, CA — Rain and high winds are resulting in some scattered power outages and traffic hazards in the Mother Lode.
PG&E reports that there are multiple power outages scattered across the Mother Lode. The largest are 85 customers without electricity east of Twain Harte and 52 without power in Wilseyville. To report an outage, or try to receive information about a specific neighborhood, you can call 1-800-PGE-5000.
The CHP reports that a fallen tree and rockslide are blocking one lane of Highway 4 near Murphys Grade Road in Calaveras County. Travel with caution in the area.
In addition, there is a crash near Mokelumne Hill on Independence Road, near Liberty Hill Road. A vehicle has gone down an embankment. Be prepared for activity.
A National Weather Service Flood Watch remains in effect for Tuolumne County and the Sierra Nevada through early tomorrow morning. There is also a Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada, above 6,500 ft., through 4pm Monday.
