Back To Road Work

Sponsored by:

Following the holidays, CalTrans crews are back to their seasonal maintenance chores along the Mother Lode highways; this week, along highways 49 and 120.

Monday through Friday, along Highway 49 in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties, motorists should expect intermittent one-way controlled traffic and minor delays due to tree work at two locations: north of Sonora between Shaws Flat Road and Poppy Hills Drive, and again, six miles south of Angels Camp between Melones Reservoir and Whittle roads. The scheduled work will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in both areas.

Along Highway 120, more planned tree work will occur through the week from 5 miles east of Groveland between Cherry Valley and Golden Arrow roads with intermittent one-way traffic control causing delays of up to 10 minutes at times, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
