Sonora Vegetation Fire Contained

Sonora, CA — Cal Fire reports the fire was contained quickly at only a small area, but the power lines remain down. The fire broke out around 3:18 p.m. on Burl Court near Cedar Road east of Greenley Road. Cal Fire has not confirmed whether the downed lines were energized.
“The cause is under investigation and it is not clear whether the power lines sparked the blaze,” according to Cal Fire spokesperson, Lisa Williams.
PG&E has been called to the scene and no estimated time of repair has been given.
