Shooting Holes In State Gun Law

Sacramento, CA — Some gun stores are taking aim at a California law that bars handgun ads on windows or other public places.
The lawsuit was filed yesterday in Sacramento federal court by four Northern California gun stores. It challenges the 91-year-old law arguing it violates the stores’ freedom of speech. The suit also points out that the law is unfair and singles out handguns as similar ads for rifles are allowed.
The lawsuit comes after a gun store in Tracy was cited for posting a handgun ad in September.
