Copperopolis Stabbing Investigation

Copperopolis, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office says a man was stabbed by his daughter.
The incident happened over the weekend in the 1000 block of Feather Court in Copperopolis. An unidentified 51-year-old male said he was stabbed multiple times by his daughter, identified as Erica Robinson. The man was able to get away and dial 911. Deputies responded to the home and placed Robinson under arrest.
The weapon used in the stabbing was a pair of scissors. It is not immediately clear what led up to the stabbing. The victim had non-life threatening injuries.
Robinson has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse.
