Concours d’Elegance Is Not Just Any Car Show
The 18th annual Concours d’Elegance will be held at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys this Saturday.
Ironstone Vineyards President Stephen Kautz was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
This Saturday, Ironstone Vineyards will be hosting the 18th annual Concours d’Elegance vintage car show from 10 AM until 4 PM. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 PM.
According to Kautz this year’s show will feature nearly three hundred original classics, including vehicles from the early 1900’s through the mid-seventies and a few vintage and rare race cars.
The purpose of the Concours d’Elegance, in addition to entertaining car buffs, is to raise funds for 4-H and Future Farmers of America. Over the past few years $500,000 has been raised for those groups.
In addition the event provides funding for local and statewide 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) Calaveras County Fair, and a scholarship for the winner of the State Fair Scholarship Program.
Kautz is on the Ironstone Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Tickets will be available at the entrance gate.
