Sonora Fake Money Suspects

Sponsored by:

Sonora,  CA — The Sonora Police Department has released photos of the three people that allegedly used several counterfeit $20 bills at Walmart.

As reported previously, in late March Walmart’s manager reported three separate incidents where the bad money was used at the store.  A man with a large build paid $240 in counterfeit bills for items. The next day a man with dark hair and a beard used $300 in fake money to purchase goods, and 20 minutes later that day, a woman wearing glasses with a heavy build, spent $480 in counterfeit money.

The Police Department notes that the quality of the photos is not the best, but detectives hope it will help identify the responsible individuals. Anyone with information should contact the Sonora PD at 209-532-8141.
