Sonora, CA – Sonora’s California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office got a facelift and will reopen next week to motorists. The office is located at 885 Morning Star Drive has been closed since February 4for renovations.
DMV Spokesperson Jessica Gonzales says, “Customers will notice the new flooring and paint. Also, there will be a new aural testing room set up for them.”
The testing rooms are for customers who need the exam questions read to them. Gonzales explains the rooms offer a quiet place to administer the exams. The field office opened in 1994. It has 11 employees and averages 139 transactions per day.
The DMV will reopen its doors on April 2 at 9 a.m.
