Candidates For Office

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — Congressman Tom McClintock and Senator Tom Berryhill will be challenged in their re-election efforts this year.

The California Secretary of State’s Office reports that the official certified list of candidates for the June Primary will be published on Thursday. However, the Secretary of State is required to publically notify the candidates prior to publishing the list. Candidates that have been notified in the District Four Congressional race include incumbent Republican Tom McClintock, Republican Art Moore, who lists his occupation as “Businessman/Military Officer, and Jeffrey Gerlach, who is listed as an “Information Technology Analyst,” who declines to state a political party.

In the District 8 Senate race, notifications were made to incumbent Republican Tom Berryhill, who lists himself as a “Farmer/Legislator”, and Democratic challenger Paulina Miranda of Fresno, who lists her occupation as “Businesswoman.”

The Secretary of State’s Office reports that Republican incumbent Frank Bigelow was the only candidate that received notification in the Assembly District Five race. Again, the certified list will be released later this week.
