Commission Approves Cell Tower And Restaurants
Sonora, CA — Some notable projects received the ok from the Tuolumne County Planning Commission last night.
The Commission voted to issue a Conditional Use Permit for the construction of an ATT wireless telecommunications tower. It will stand 105 ft. and be located at 8330 Enterprise Drive. It is approximately 4,200 ft. west of the intersection of Highway 120 and Enterprise Drive, and situated within the Hatler Industrial Park. It will be designed to resemble a pine tree.
The Commission also ok’d plans to turn an existing 4,090 sq. ft. building in South Tuolumne County into a location that would house two restaurants. It is situated in the 18500 block of Highway 120 in Groveland. One of the restaurants would have a drive through window on the western edge of the building. It is unknown what types of restaurants will take up residence.
Aspects of the Groveland project, related to open space designations, still need approval by the full Board of Supervisors at a future meeting. The ATT tower does not need any further approval, unless an appeal of the Commission’s vote is filed with the county.
