Saturday is the first day of March and several events are being held.
Saturday and Sunday is the 2nd Annual Sportsmen’s Expo, provided by Friends of the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. Saturday afternoon the Hornitos Patrons Club is hosting its 65th Annual Enchilada Dinner. In addition to the dinner there will be; vendors, Mexican dancing, dancing horses, and live country-western music. Proceeds go to maintaining the historic town of Hornitos as well as supporting the community’s children and local service clubs. The event listing is here.

Summerville High and Connections Visual and Performing Arts Students will perform “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” Saturday at 2:00pm. The last performance will be Saturday at 7:00pm. The play is based on the lives of children in a concentration camp during WWII, and how they found hope and strength. For ticket information view the event listing.
All day Saturday will be a Rummage Sale Fundraiser hosted by POST 505 Fire Explorers. The event is to raise money for field trips, equipment, and learning materials. Details about the Rummage event are here.
