Tuolumne County Transit Offers Ski Bus Rides

Sponsored by:

Tuolumne County Transit is ready to begin round-trip Ski Bus rides to Dodge Ridge this weekend.

Mikayla Feriani with the Tuolumne County Transportation Tranist Agency was Wednesday’s KVML “Newmaker of the Day”.

The Dodge Ridge Ski Bus offers round-trip rides every Saturday and Sunday morning from select Tuolumne County locations for $10 per person and $25 Family Packs. The bus remains at the ski area until 4:30pm.

Feriani said that Tuolumne Public Transit will also provide a bus this Monday as this is a three-day holiday weekend (President’s Day).

“Regardless of where you catch the bus, whether it is in Sonora or in Twain Harte, the price is the same” said Feriani. “There is plenty of room for snow skis, snow boards and equipment. And this is a great way to relax without having to worry about icy roads or other traffic hazards”.

When asked, Feriani said that the agency also plans to bring back YARTS this Spring.

YARTS is the Yosemite Area Roundtrip Service offered daily between Sonora and Yosemite Valley.

Over the past couple of years, the daily service (which includes park admission) was considered a success. On Saturdays and Sundays there were two additional runs, starting from and returning to Groveland.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday morning at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am on AM 1450 KVML.
