Pile-up On HWY 49

Sonora, CA — There is a multiple car pile-up on Highway 49 between Sonora and Columbia.
The CHP reports there are four vehicles involved in a wreck. There is no word on injuries, but an ambulance has been called to the scene. The CHP reports three of the cars are totaled and one is blocking the northbound lane. There are reports that people are helping to direct traffic in the area. Motorists will want to use caution and be prepared for delays.

Update 1:30 pm: The CHP reports and ambulance is on scene, but there is still no word on injuries.
Update 1:50 pm: The CHP reports the debris and vehicles have been cleared. Highway 49 is completely opened.
