Rim Fire Ranchers Benefit This Saturday

Sponsored by:

A benefit BBQ dinner and auction will be held this Saturday for ranchers who suffered loss of livestock, fences, cabins and grazing ground due to the Rim Fire.

Pastor Jack of Country Cowboy Church in Sonora was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

According to the Pastor, ranchers lost hundreds of head of livestock, miles of fences, cabins, feed and destruction of property.

One hundred percent of the proceeds tomorrow night, will go directly to affected ranchers.

Tickets are $30 each and are still available as of this morning. If not sold out, tickets will be available at the door.

The event begins at 5 pm inside of the John Muir building at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora, with the BBQ dinner served around 6 pm.

The benefit dinner event includes music by the Sierra Mountain Band, a live auction, a raffle and a drawing. Pastor Jack said this is a family event.
