Calaveras Supervisors Meet Tuesday

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — A trail project and items related to the new jail highlight this week’s Calaveras Supervisors meeting.

The Board will vote whether to approve a contract with Petersen Excavation Inc. for the construction of the Arnold Rim Trail Cedar Center Bikeway Connection Project. It will be a paved, multiple use trail, between Pine Drive and Oak Circle. It will have trail heads on Calaveras County land and cross over portions of the Stanislaus National Forest. The contract would be for $139K. The project is a collaborative effort between the county, Forest Service and Calaveras Council of Governments.

The Board will also finalize some of the contracts for services related to the new county jail. As we reported last week, the Jail is several months behind schedule and is not expected to open until December or January. The Board will vote on purchasing new software for the dispatch center.
The Supervisors will be meeting Tuesday evening at 5:30 at the Government Center in San Andreas.
