Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce has a new leader.
Mike Ayala has been named the new Chief Executive Officer and was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Ayala will take the place of longtime CEO George Segarini. Ayala is a retired Commander with the CHP, and has been an active volunteer for the Chamber, Kiwanis Club, Tuolumne County Transportation Council, Belleview Oaks Mutual Water Company, and the local steering committee for the Amgen Tour.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the citizens and businesses of Tuolumne County in this new role,” says Ayala.
The announcement of Ayala’s hiring was made by the Chairperson of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Margaret Davis. Ayala was a volunteer member of the Leadership Tuolumne County Class of 1999/2000 and went on to chair the program the next three years. He was also on the Chamber’s Transportation Committee and the Population 2010 working group.
