Vegetation Fire In Tuolumne County

Jamestown, CA — Firefighters and Columbia Aircraft are headed to a vegetation fire in Jamestown. Flames have been spotted off of Jacksonville and Algerine Roads. There is no word on the size of the fire or if any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available. Motorists will want to use caution in the area as there will be plenty of emergency vehicle activity in the area.

Update: Cal Fire reports less than a half acre of grass is on fire and no structures are threatened. Also, all Columbia aircraft have been called off the scene.


Update 3:40pm: The CHP says the fire is contained at a half-acre. Spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “A small outhouse was destroyed in the flames.”
