Jamestown Crash Turns Fatal

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA — The CHP confirms that a man has died from injuries sustained in a July 23rd crash on Jamestown Road.

66-year-old Robert Roberson of Jamestown was hit by an oncoming vehicle driven by 41-year-old Annadine Matheny of Jamestown. As reported previously, the CHP said that Matheny had been passing vehicles over the double yellow lines, and was going down the middle of the road when she crashed into Roberson’s vehicle near Golf Links Road. Roberson was life-flighted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, and Matheny was taken to Doctors Medical Center. Roberson passed away over the weekend.

The CHP reports that officers are still investigating whether Matheny was under the influence at the time of the crash, noting that her toxicology test has not returned from the lab. CHP officials say that she could potentially face a charge of vehicular manslaughter.
