State Auditor, CA Needs To Negotiate Better Electricity Deals
A major study of California´s power crisis says significant risks still abound for the state´s electricity supply.
State Auditor Elaine Howle says too many hurried decisions could saddle taxpayers with billions of dollars in hidden costs. She´s critical of 42 billion dollars committed to buying power for the next ten years.
Howle suggests that the state´s Department of Water Resources try to negotiate better deals with power suppliers.
