Ski Season Approaches

Sierra ski resorts are using a little snow and a lot of snowmaking to open a handful of runs in time for the holiday weekend as they anticipate the week´s second storm tomorrow.
Heavenly became the second resort to open today, with one run. Boreal opened last week.
Kirkwood Mountain Resort is among the areas scheduled to open tomorrow with three lifts. It´s joined by Squaw Valley with five and Alpine Meadows with one.
