Wet Weather May Be Helping Efforts At The Moore Fire
Weather may be slowing the Moore Fire in Calaveras County. Several teams of hand crews as well as heavy equipment have been released from the fire today.
The blaze, located 15 miles northeast of West Point is consuming brush and timber in rough terrain at the north end of the Stanislaus National Forest. Two minor injuries are reported. The fire is 60 percent contained at 500 acres. No structures or communities are under threat.
