With the East Sonora Bypass project put on hold because of indian artifacts found at the site, several local
companies have been adversely affected. According to the County Chamber of Commerce, local highway construction supply outlets expecting to serve the
project now have fully stocked shelves and no buyers.
Apparently, local real estate was affected too. Several would-be residents who were to move
here from out of state to work at the project have changed their minds and decided not to buy homes in the area.
