Firefighters have contained a 550 acre blaze at Hogan Lake in Calaveras county. The fire burned most of
the afternoon and evening, after a spot from a previous fire got out of control at about 3 yesterday afternoon.
Crews had to back off and light back-
fires to get a handle on the fast moving fire. The area is mostly heavy brush. Mop up continues today with ground crews and some aircraft. Crews expect to
have the fire out by tomorrow morning.
It´s the third fire to burn in that area this week. It all started with an errant camp fire from Coyote Creek
