Shooting Comments Investigated in Sonora
A Special Education student based on the Cassina High School campus has been suspended, after he was
overheard talking about bringing a gun to school. The student is in a Tuolumne County program that occupies two buildings at Cassina, but is administered
separately.
Sonora police and Tuolumne County deputies searched the boy´s home after he got on a Sonora High School bus, and the driver
overheard him making comments about shooting people on the campus.
Several rifles and ammunition for them were taken to Police headquarters for
safekeeping. Investigators say there´s no evidence that the boy had any plans to actually carry out an attack.
