Motherlode Fires Overnight Cause MinimalDamage

A couple of fires overnight. Crews are just finishing mop-up after a quarter acre of grass burned along
highway 49 near the Mokelumne River. It took just under an hour to surround it. It appears a tree fell into a power line there shortly after 2 this
morning.
In Sonora, Cilty crews needed about 15 minutes to surround a grass fire near Morning Star Drive. Cause is under investigation.
