Agencies Team Up Against Stanislaus Fire
Sponsored by:
An intense, combined effort made relatively quick work of a 4 acre wildfire this afternoon at the McCauley
Ranch in the Buck Meadows area of Stanislaus National Forest.
5 air tankers, 2 helicopters along with 7 engine teams and other ground crews staged
to protect some buildings at the fire. The area is largely meadow grass, but the flames moved slowly, allowing crews to surround them within about an hour.
Crews from two CDF Ranger Units, Yosemite Park and Mariposa County combined their efforts with Forest Service Firefighters.
No injuries. Cause
is under investigation.
