The powerful storms ripping through the Mother Lode have claimed a life in Calaveras County.
A Livermore man was killed Saturday by a falling tree near Jenny Lind has been identified as 53 year-old Benjamin Harris Brown.
He died when a wind-blown tree fell on the car he was driving near Highway 26 and Farris Drive Saturday just after 2 p.m.
