Tribal Gambling Provokes Heated Exchange

Three state lawmakers are backing Indian tribes´ call for a legislative investigation into the state´s gambling regulatory commission.
Campaign records show each of the three accepted tens of thousands of dollars in contributions from gambling tribes within the last election cycle.
It´s the latest in a series of increasingly heated exchanges between the California Nations Indian Gaming Association and the California Gambling Control Commission as negotiations begin over tribes´ gambling compacts with the state.
The association says the commission is violating tribal sovereignty with its rulings and regulations.
