Warrant Issued In Police Officer”s Shooting
Tehama County District Attorney Gregg Cohen has prepared a warrant to bring a man suspected of killing a Red Bluff police officer to California for prosecution.
A spokesman for Governor Davis says he could sign the warrant as early as next week to extradite 23-year-old Andrew McCrae.
McCrae is being held without bail in a jail in Concord, New Hampshire. He is accused of ambushing officer Dave Mobilio on November 19th at a gas station and fatally shooting him three times.
McCrae was arrested at a hotel a week later, hours after he allegedly posted confessions online claiming he killed the officer to make a statement about police brutality and corporate irresponsibility.
Police investigators have declined to release many details of the shooting. McCrae´s arrest warrant remains under seal at the Tehama County Superior Court.
