Kirkwood Opens Today; Local Resorts Need More Snow

The Kirkwood ski resort will open today after all.
Resort officials worried about the warm weather this week, but the snowfall from last weekend´s storms was enough to open as planned.
The resort, on Highway 88, has 12 to 48 inches of base, and will open with four lifts.
Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley are still waiting for more snow to open.
