A Tuolumne City woman who was not wearing a seatbelt was seriously hurt today when she crashed head-on into a big rig hauling gravel.
The California Highway Patrol says 41-year-old Celia Wightman was southbound on Cherokee Road, overshot a turn, crossed the center divider and plowed into a big rig driven by Gaylorn Dolan of Jamestown.
Wightman´s pickup was totaled and the CHP she was not belted in and was thrown forward. She was airlifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with head and leg injuries. Dolan was not hurt.
