Snow advisories for the Sierra Nevada and the Greater Lake Tahoe area have expired. A few bands of mainly light snow will move across the northern portion of the Lake Tahoe area through early evening. Most of the snow will remain north of Interstate 80. About an inch of snow is expected above 7 thousand feet and no additional accumulations are forecast at lake level.
Precipitation will continue to slacken off across the Northern Sierra through the evening hours. Additional snowfall accumulations are expected to be minimal and limited to the higher elevations.
