Voter Turnout Normal So Far
Sponsored by:
Mother Lode area voters have been heading to the polls in average number on this Election Day.
Tuolumne County clerk Tim Johnson says voter turnout at Sonora polling places has been pretty normal for this time of the morning so far.
Many area voters waited until the last minute to mail in their absentee ballots. The elections offices of both counties were still receiving those ballots through late Monday afternoon.
Polls are open in both counties now until 8 p.m.
