Golf Thieves Targeted High-end Shops

Sponsored by:

Police say three Concord men who were arrested this week on charges of looting golf course clubhouses in Northern California and Nevada may have also struck in Southern California and Oregon.

Douglas Knudtson, Kyle Knudtson and Matthew Odom were arrested after a month-long investigation by the Placer County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say golf course managers from around the state and in Southern Oregon have been calling Placer County to report similar break-ins.

Police say the men stole the most expensive clubs in the golf shops and then sold them on eBay. They are accused of stealing half a million dollars worth of high-end golf equipment.

All three were set for arraignment next week in Placer County Superior Court on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.
