Fire Destroys Railroad Flat Home

Calaveras County Fire crews battled a structure fire at 1420 Kathy Lane near Independence Road in Railroad Flat.
The single story, single family home was fifty percent involved when fire units first arrived at 9:30 this morning.
Firefighters had to pull out from the structure when the home´s roof threatened to collapse. No dollar estimate on loss.
