Law Officials Hear CAMP Results

State Attorney General Bill Lockyer in Fresno this afternoon, will brief law enforcement officials, including Tuolumne County Sheriff department personnel, on the results of the 2002 Campaign Against Marijuana Planting or “CAMP” program.

The CAMP program, under the California Department of Justice, assists local law enforcement to locate and remove large outdoor marijuana operations in remote forested areas. Lockyer says about a third of all plants seized by CAMP during the 2002 growing season were taken in Central Valley Counties.
