Sonora High Wildcats Win Homecoming Game
The Wildcats beat East Union High 27 to 23 at Dunlavy Field Friday night in their Homecoming game which was broadcast live on KVML.
The Sonora High School Golden Regiment Marching Band kicked off the Homecoming Parade Friday afternoon through downtown Sonora. The annual parade along Washington Street drew hundreds of well-wishers. One of them was Sonora High alumni and teacher Frank Sanfilippo.
“I hope Sonora High comes out on top, I´ll be rooting for them,” Sanfilippo said while watching the parade this afternoon.
“It´s great to see the kids having a lot of fun and showing their school pride.Being a graduate of Sonora High myself, It sort of brings back memories.”
