County Funds Next Year”s State Fair Exhibit

Sponsored by:

It seems to have been money well spent this year. The Tuolumne County exhibit at the California State Fair 2002 received a gold medal award.

Tuolumne County Supervisors agreed Tuesday to earmark $5,000 in the new county budget for next year´s state fair exhibit. The money will come from the county´s General Fund rather than from the visitors bureau operating budget.

The county exhibits at the state fair are judged on content, marketability, craftsmanship, creative use of products/produce/artifacts and technology.

The displays was sponsored by Tuolumne County, coordinated by the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau and built by Richard Bay of Sacramento.

The exhibit will be on display through Labor Day in the California Building at Cal Expo in Sacramento.
