Soapbox Derby Slated For Saturday

Nearly forty boys and girls are scheduled to compete in Saturday´s Soapbox derby in Downtown Sonora.
The second annual event will kick-off at 9 a.m., with each competitor, ages 8 to 16 years old, getting two chances to race down the Stewart Street course.
Derby cars will be on display during a pre-race reception between 7 and 8 p.m. tomorrow evening at the Sonora Opera Hall.
