A 320-acre wildfire southwest of Lake Tahoe has been contained by about 600 firefighters. But a portion of a main trans-Sierra highway is to remain closed until 8 a.m. Monday. U-S 50 was closed in both directions in the fire area. The blaze caused large rocks and trees to fall onto the roadway when the flames were at their height late Friday.
