Film actress Katy Jurado, who was a sultry star of several Hollywood films of the 1950s, has died in Mexico at age 78. Jurado received one Academy Award nomination, and her most famous role may have been as a former lover of Gary Cooper´s character in “High Noon.” Jurado died at her home in Cuernavaca, 35 miles south of Mexico City. A spokesman for Mexico´s National Actors Association said Jurado suffered from lung and heart ailments.
