After leading officers on a high speed chase early yesterday morning, a driver lost control and slammed into an embankment near the Solano County Fairgrounds.
Police said they arrested the man at about 1 am Saturday after a brief struggle.
A police spokesman says officers first tried to stop the vehicle as it sped on Fermi Road in Cordelia. They followed the fleeing vehicle onto Interstate 80.
Police said the chase reached speeds of more than 130 miles per hour, before the driver lost control and crashed. No serious injuries were reported.
The man was taken to the Solano County Jail.
