Increased Security Presence On Golden Gate Bridge

There will soon be ten more officers patrolling the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge district board of directors approved the new hires today at a cost of about 600 thousand dollars a year.
Bridge spokeswoman Mary Currie says the move will give the district a force dedicated to protecting the bridge all day, every day. It´ll take several months to hire the new officers.
Currie wouldn´t be specific about what they´ll be doing, but says they´ll be patrolling the bridge by foot, car, scooter and bike.
