Sonora High Officials Back Slaughterhouse Five, Grant Parents Wishes

Sponsored by:

Sonora Union High School District officials heard complaints from Art Hay that the content of the book, Slaughterhouse Five, is unsuitable for students to read. This week, Hay, who has two children that attend Sonora High School, wanted the book taken off of the shelves. He also wanted his daughter, who was assigned to read the book for a school project, to be given another book to use for the assignment. District officials granted the second request and a new book was assigned but according to Sonora High principal Terry Clark, the science fiction classic is acceptable.
