Learning Fire Safety And Prevention

Sponsored by:

Several dozen school-aged children and their parents heard a fire prevention message, visited with Freddie the talking fire engine and got junior firefighter hats Wednesday afternoon at the main branch of the Tuolumne County Library.

Fire engines and staff from the Tuolumne County Fire Department Station 51 at Mono Village, and Sonora City Fire Department were stationed in the parking lot of the library

The children got to hear the fire truck´s siren, see the safety gear firefighters wear, and even try their hand at squirting water from a fire hose.
