A retired Catholic priest is due to be extradited any day now from San Diego to Massachusetts, where he´ll face charges of repeatedly raping a boy over seven years. Father Paul Shanley yesterday waived his right to fight extradition on the charges.
A San Diego County Superior Court Judge ordered him held without bail in isolation while he waits to be picked up by Massachusetts authorities. For security reasons, officials won´t disclose the date of extradition.
