The day after a four-point-nine magnitude quake shook Gilroy, two minor quakes struck Sonoma County. The U-S Geological Survey reports a temblor with a preliminary magnitude of three-point-five struck at about 2:30 p-m yesterday outside Cloverdale. Just over an hour later, a magnitude three-point-three quake hit in the same area. There are no reports of damage or injuries. The U-S-G-S says the two quakes were not related to the one Monday in Gilroy.
A preliminary magnitude on the Gilroy quake was first reported by the U-S-G-S as five-point-two, but they downgraded that to a four-point-nine.
