Dozens of men who took part in a private golf tournament Friday at a Riverside County golf course are suspected of more than playing golf. Authorities say they´re suspected of trading money for sex.

The Riverside County Sheriff´s Department conducted on undercover surveillance operation today at the Hidden Valley Golf Club in Norco. Sheriff´s spokeswoman Shelley Kennedy-Smith tells K-CAL TV the department had the golf course under surveillance for about three weeks. Friday, deputies moved in detaining about 100 golfers and several women. Television news footage showed camping tents pitched right on the greens.

Kennedy-Smith says about 50 people were still being detained as of last night. She says those found to be involved could face charges of prostitution, pimping or pandering.
